On my previous car with headlight washer, there were 2 pumps at the bowl. A low (normal) pressure one for the windshield, and a high pressure one for the headlights.
The headlights were washed every 5th activation of the windshield washer. That may be not easy to implement here, but the high pressure pump could be installed quite easily, and activated by an unused switch, like in my truck the auto S/S switch is disabled, so I could use that to activate the high pressure pump of the camera washer.
Just a thought.

Nice work! Do you think the washer pump in the front of the truck has enough "oomph" to push the fluid that far with adequate force or will you possibly need some kind of inline pump??

It did when I ran a hose along the side of the truck but I will have to see when its actually run along the frame how it performs. If it doesn't I will add something like this to give it a boost:

I had a thought while I was driving in to work - you'll need some sort of "quick disconnect" in the hose so you can take the tailgate off. This disconnect has to also prevent the fluid in the line from running out when disconnected.

I never take my tail gate off so no issue for me but it would be nice to keep that functionality. Good thought!

Would have been nice if ford had some kind of electric cover that opens when you stick it in reverse....

How often do you plan to remove your tailgate? I never have and hope I never have to. Also, if you do remove it, just plug the line up with a golf tee or something. Worst case scenario is a little washer fluid spills on the ground......

I'm not as worried about me needing to remove as I am the dealer or other third party

I thought most vehicles have seperate tank/pump for those rear window washers. Is that not the case? The thought I keep coming back to is that hose getting squeezed/crimped somewhere with that long run, while a wire to a cheap pump back there wouldn't do that. Either way though great job!
