Default Rear Bumper Replacement

So tragedy struck today and I reversed my truck in to a curbside tree. There isn’t much visible damage but the “chrome” part of the left side bottom bumper is visibly warped. Not terribly, but you can feel it when you run your hand across it. There was some bark where the sensor was so I pretty much hit it straight on right there.

I know now it isn’t a big deal, but maybe it’s the universe telling me to get rid of the chrome. In any case, how easy of a fix do y’all think this would be?

Very easy. Buy replacement piece (single or both sides of the bumper) from ebay, take bumper off, take bad piece off. Reverse steps with new piece and you're done. Cost will vary depending on color you buy.

Thanks!

Has anybody replaced an individual proximity sensor before? I see them for sale but don’t see any instructions at all

That's even easier. There is a plug for each one. Once you climb under there it'll be obvious. Then to get it out of the bumper it just takes a little wiggling.

Back to the bumper, it isn't hard but there are quite a few nuts/bolts so it does take a little time.
