FYI: Ecoboost suck gas during cold weather. I live in Louisiana and my winter average was 16.8 mpg and my spring average is 18.1 mpg. I expect around 18.5-18.8 for the summer weather. I have a 2013 FX4 crew 3.55 gear ratio. All stock with 20" stock wheels and tires. So all you guys up north in the cold expect better mpgs as it warms up.

Wouldn't the 3.55 gears run at higher RPMs at a set speed (say 65mph) than the 3.31 gears? If so, that may explain some of the gas mileage issues that some are reporting.

My all around driving has been 17.6. I have 2K miles on truck. Have not done any highway miles yet. Used a full tank of non ethanol gas with no change in the numbers.

I bought my 3.5 EB Platinum with 4x4 and 3.55 gears max trailer tow January 5 and have driven in VERY cold temperatures. Lots of remote starting and idling. I live in Canada so will post US / Imperial MPG converted numbers below.
10,500 miles on the truck now
majority highway driving, some towing.
I definitely noticed a jump in fuel economy right around the 5000mile mark on the odometer. I've been paying close attention to the fuel economy with the new info screen while driving and the jump was sudden and the only thing I could attribute was a computer adjustment in fuel mix. Regardless these are my numbers below. I've left everything stock on the truck.
Fuel economy drops noticeably for me in sub -10 celcius temps.
Some numbers:
19.75 MPG - Reset at new includes everything
20.92 MPG - 80%Highway/20%City PRIOR to 5000miles on Odo.
22.60 MPG - 80%Highway/20%City AFTER 5000miles on Odo.
25.6 MPG - 100% Highway on my last trip of significant distance. 65mph
The economy is significantly better than my 2013 3.5 EB with 3.73 gears. I'm pleased with the results and have the option of excellent power when needed.

Think the EPA highway is 23 so you are getting around that as temps go up.

Those numbers seem like fantasy land to me. I'm not saying your lying, just your truck is WAAAY more efficient than mine.
Here is my actual lifetime info:
Conditions: flat, tools in bed, no trailer
I've never even seen 18 mpg!?!

I just hit 5000 KMs on "trip 2" with an average of 19.2L per 100km. That's 12.25MPG.
Mixed 10/40/50 City, offroad and highway respectively. 2H on highway and in town, 4A mostly on dirt/mud.
Some idling time, too, I guess.
I'm not overly impressed.
