Real work trucks
So far it seems most trucks here are family vehicles.
Does anyone use them daily as intended? In construction, subcontractors hauling trailers or material, maybe horseshoers with coal/propane forge in back, feeding cattle/horses daily, etc?
Though I am a project manager for homebuilder, mine isn't used hard like before, though laborers still get to drive it.
If I need a real truck I use the 350 although at 88,000 miles its rough.

Mine is my daily driver but I use it for profit. I have a small tree service and use it for all my sales calls. Only had it 4 months but it has already hauled a dump trailer a half dozen times and taken the chipper to the repair shop and back. It is one of four trucks I own and all four contribute to my income. It is by far the most comfortable though, and the only one not ugly plain white.

I went to Costco and bought a couple of cases of toilet paper, does that count? I even strapped them down in the bed.

I also have a 16' utility trailer that has hauled tons and tons of landscape rock, gravel, gardening soil, lumber, cement and sand, plus a Yamaha Rhino for over 8 years.
But since I don't work for pay anymore, I must be one of those dilettante truck owners. Hence my name.

If you want intended-daily work trucks, head over to a super duty forum.
My real truck. Work in progress...these stock tires and rake are driving me crazy. But, this is it doing its intended work

I think the F-150 is intended for light duty hauling/ weekend warrior stuff. It’s not really intended to be a DD or family vehicle only. A full size SUV like an Expedition or Suburban is better/ safer for filling that roll of a half ton chassis is needed. They both have their pluses and minuses. If I didn’t have toys and the need for the 6.5’ bed on occasion the pickup might not be around anymore.
