Default Is this real

So i was going to order a few parts from Tasca.

3 parts for $182.14 - cool I love the savings they provide
shipping: $307.93 - this has to be a joke, right?

Yeah, we all live in a world of free shipping, Amazon crap. But this is just wrong.

2 items are small - glove box hinge and cabin filter
other item are wheel well liners - large and bulky, but light and in a box, so not an awkward item.

for this i would almost prefer to pay full retail at the dealer and they absorb shipping.

any other possible places that wont cost a second mortgage for shipping?

Is it possible to call them and ask? Maybe their website is jacked up.

Nope...it is just TASCA. Many horror stories covering their poor shipping practices and prices.

I checked shipping prices with Tasca lately and they were rudely absurd.

If you do want to order online, I found the combo of part price and shipping to be most favorable with https://www.oemfordpart.com.

I ended up using the official parts.ford.com (shocking I know) and picking my local dealer. It gave about a 10% discount off MSRP. Not great, but I can go pick up the parts in person the next day.
Note the pricing appears to be dealer specific, so check a few. Another local dealer was actually charging more than MSRP once I selected them.

Edit: and any motorcraft fluids and some other parts are avail on rockauto. Best prices and shipping.

Sounds like they put a pretty big markup on their shipping.

These people have always done me good but I haven't tried shipping anything that large either.

Tasca can be a good place to find part #'s so you can buy somewhere else.

I used to do the same with Eastgate in Canada, but they changed their website and it's not as useful. I used to click on categories and then get diagrams of parts and their location relative to one another, now the website just seems to want to list a bunch of unrelated parts without showing the diagrams. The Tasca site is more useful as it shows the diagrams in most cases.

I usually find the right part numbers and get my local dealer to order the parts. Sometimes I was surprised to get better deals than the prices that were listed on the Eastgate site.
