It may be because I'm near Atlanta where there's a good number of Raptors and people here love custom trucks, but there's a very good number of Raptor bumper/skid plate take-off combos on Craigslist for pretty cheap. eBay does have a good number as well for a little more, but I highly recommend checking out CL first.

Still one of my favorite mods to my F-150. Makes my platinum look different than every other one on the road!

Question for you boys, for those with an original front bumper, after removing the air dam did you remove the lower valance or eyeball and trim to fit the raptor skid plate in place? Looks like a SOB to remove the damn thing and reinstall. Any info would be much appreciated. Also the brackets don’t line up on my 16 so I will be fabricating as well.

Hey Scott, back when I had the original bumper I just eyeballed and trimmed the valance with the bumper on the truck. Looked like a real pain to remove the valance without removing the entire bumper and the mounting brackets. I just trimmed it as close as I could with some tin snips, then filed/sanded out any imperfections left from cutting.

Thanks! Good plan of attack.

I removed the bumper, removed the lower valance (it is a pain, but ultimately doesn't take long, the bumper is only six bolts), trimmed the lower valance pieces on my table saw, and then bolted everything back up, including the skid plate. That way I knew both valance pieces were the same and the table saw gave me a much cleaner cut than anything handheld I could use sitting on the ground.

JCROUCH and Co,

Thanks for your help, finally got around to mounting my skid plate, only 2 holes needed to be drilled in the rear, otherwise worked out well, going to do a little more trimming on the valance as well.

Default WTB front brackets

Looks good everyone! I just jumped on board this experiment with a little bit of a twist- I have the Galaxymoto Raptro style bumper with the small plastic skid plate front piece. I'm adding the OEM Raptor skid plate; looks like I'll need the coveted front brackets/hardware ; if anyone has any to sell?

Also; looks like I'm going to have to cut part of the plastic existing "skid plate" fascia as it extends beyond the OEM plate I'll be adding.... it's never an easy job when I do it, lol!
