Got my Raptor skid plate bolted up to my 2018 Lariat over the weekend. I also had to drill and extra hole in the back for it to line up properly with the support plate. I'm sure the paint will get trashed, but I painted it in satin black as well. If it gets destroyed I'll think about getting it powder coated.

JCROUCH,

Looks damn good, question, do u happen to have a list of the part numbers for the hardware meaning nuts bolts etc, or the lengths and sizing, I pulled the trigger and decided to undertake this on my 16 Special Edition in black.

cheers,

Scott

I ordered the skid plate and hardware from an eBay seller (that must work at some sort of dealer), the brackets included the hardware. Which was nice. I haven't installed them yet and can measure and/or photograph them. I bet he gets a deal on shipping, because I can't imagine what it cost to ship the plate. If you're near Seattle... Have I got a deal for you. I'm likely giving up on my experiment... For reference, he sold me the plate and brackets and hardware (bundled) for 155.00 + 60.00 including shipping.

I think they only come in Silver. If I were doing this mod and wanted black I think I would have it covered with bed liner. That seems like the toughest stuff around.

They have to be very expensive new. I haven't checked recently but there were many listings for them on Ebay a while back.

No worries. Maybe I'll see it on the road one day. Mark at Bowen Scarff parts was real great about researching and getting me the correct hardware for my other skid plates (non-FX4 plat, Grrr). Apparently, if you order ONE "bolt" or "nut", it is actually the number required, so, the cost isn't X4 or whatever, but for the needed set. Just a thought.
