Default Ranch Hand

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I am having a full front replacement bumper and a rear replacement bumper, both Ranch Hand, put onto the truck.

Let's see how it goes! I'll report back with pictures and review tomorrow evening. I haven't seen many/any threads with this setup before, so I figured I would share for the inquisitive.

Also, quick question. Do you have reverse sensors & are you just losing that functionality with the new rear bumper?

I do have the reverse sensors and I will not be losing the functionality there. The rear replacement has cutouts for the sensors in the factory location. My concern is with the front sensor (Active Cruise Control) but we may have a way around that.

Well, it's a done deal! I absolutely love how it looks.

Active cruise control, reverse sensors, BLIS and everything else works like it did from the factory.

Yes, the front camera is slightly obstructed but still useable; front of bumper is visible. For someone like me who doesn't use it much it is a non-event.

$1850 installed for front and rear.

If anyone is in the Austin area, I cannot recommend Ranch Hand Truckfitters of Cedar Park enough. Professional and fast. For those who don't know, it is an official outfitter owned by Ranch Hand themselves. Great outfit.

By the way, the reverse LED lights are a great addition; bright and really light up the area behind the truck.

Thank you! No leveling kit, but it's on the to-do list in the future.

I'm running stock 20" Platinum wheels with BFG KO2's in the stock 275/55/20.

Thought it would drop a little more but actually thought you had at least a 1.5" leveling kit. Pretty good for not having a kit.

It didn't drop much, if at all. In all fairness I didn't measure before or after, but this is how the front sits at stock height with stock size rims and tires.

For those wondering about the active cruise control, it's really hard to get a clear picture, but it stays in the factory mounting location with a bracket that mounts to the bumper. The sensor (instead of being covered by the factory plastic) is covered by a piece of thick plexi-glass and it sees through the wire mesh of the bumper. It functions the same as it did from the factory for me.

No regrets!

My next post has a few more pictures attached to it.
