I'm thinking you were in the middle of an update. It happens. Turn the truck on....nothying on the screen, so you think there's a problem.....it's only until the update is amost finished that the screen appears with SYNC is now performing an update....and so forth.

Hey everyone,

Reading through this thread, I've seen some awesome suggestions! Now it's time to let the dealer diagnose the issue. You've done all that you can do on your own, LesterFisher.

Keep me posted.

I've had my truck in the shop twice and they can't fix the sound issue. Radio functions all work including nav but no sound at all. Not from any input, Bluetooth or Nav.

Sucks is what it does. Any other resets or suggestions anyone????????

Sounds like the amplifier is shot, dealer should be replacing it if they haven't already.

I believe that they checked that already but I will make sure that they do.

Thanks!

Had this happen. Disconnected the negative battery cable from the battery. Left it disconnected for 30 minutes. Reconnected and all was well. Prior, had tried the master rest, start-restart, all to no avail. Problem has not resurfaced. Had this problem on a previous MFT vehicle also. Tried everything I could think of, even the dealer could not figure it out. They ordered a new APIM, but was not needed. Wife suggested the battery disconnect, so I did that, and it worked.

I have had the same problem that has happened twice in 8k miles. My truck has the optional sony radio and no nav. Sound just stopped but display remained on. Turned off the truck and restarted and sound returned. The 2nd time a cd was playing and sound went out and cd counter froze. Restated truck and sound returned. Any ideas? Sync updated 3 days later. Problem has not happened again.
