I have my Valentine 1mounted to drivers side of rear view mirror. Cord goes above headliner, down along A pillar, tucked behind trim, to fuse box on passenger side. Wired to keyed fuse so it powers on and off with truck.

That's what I was wanting to do. Was the pillar trim hard to take off? It looks and feels like it is a bit sturdier than the pillar on my 13 that just popped off.

I mounted my Valentine the same way. I didn't have to remove the pillar. I just removed the weather stripping and tucked it behind the pillar.

I like my passport. I was too lazy to do any sort of special or hidden install.

Maybe you should drive the speed limit. Just a suggestion. It's hard to argue you weren't speeding when a cop observes a radar/laser detector in your car. After all, why do most people buy them? Because they speed. Safety never takes a holiday.
