When you're at a stop light and the engine cuts off, if you turn your steering wheel does the engine turn back on? I have a 2018 F-150 Platinum and when I turn the wheel nothing happens, but my brother has a 2018 F-150 Lariat and when he turns his wheel the truck turns on. Anybody know what the expected behavior is?

Enough steering input will in fact keep the truck running or cause it to restart before the brake is released.

 

I can ease up on the brake pedal and mine will restart.

 

Thanks for the quick feedback. Yeah I can ease off the brake pedal to kick it on or ease on the brake pedal to keep it from engaging, but yeah, the turning of the wheel feature is missing and I only noticed it when my brother pointed it out. I can tug and turn the wheel while it's stopped and it just won't activate. Odd.

 

Here's a video I took after a morning cruise if you're interested. Not really sure what module actually controls the feature and I know it's not a big deal or anything, but I feel like it should be enabled.

 

Wheel has to be turned 90*.

 

IIRC, my steering is locked up when AS* is active.
