Default Question on purchase

Just want to see what you think is going to happen.
I asked for a quote for a tonneau cover thru one of our vendors. When I received the quote, I purchased the item. When I received the item, it is not what I wanted. After going back and looking at the PM, I clearly stated which I model wanted. I received the quote with the model number. Now I look at the invoice and model number, those match up. It is not what I wanted though. I sent them an email asking what they are going to do about it.

Reference. My PM asked for a quote for an Undercover Ultra Flex. I received the quote with the PN thinking that was correct, since they should know. The PN, invoice, and what I received is for the Flex

Refer to the seller's website terms and conditions.

Standard stuff and mention not liable for fitting of such items. No mention of quoting different part than what was requested.

It's probably just a honest mistake. I'd give the vendor the opportunity to make it right.

Just waiting to see what they say on Monday in response to my email. I hope they make it right and not charge me to ship the incorrect part back

I would have given them a chance to at least respond before making a thread. That’s just how I would handle it. Stuff happens and the vendors here seem to care about their reputation so hopefully it gets fixed. I will say it’s gonna suck if you have to somehow mail it back though, probably came in a heavy long awkward box right?

I'm giving them a chance. Just wanted opinions of what people thought might happen. It is a large box. If they're smart, they'll schedule pickup at the same time as delivery of the one I want. We will see what happens.

This^^

If it’s a vendor on here, what I think is gonna happen is they’ll make it right. Personally, I would have come on here, after the situation had been resolved, and most likely, started a thread about how Vender So-&-So did me right.

I will post again once the situation is resolved, either way. I didn't mention the vendor for that specific reason. Didn't know I was going to get flamed for asking peoples opinion. I just wanted to know if it's my fault for not paying attention to what they were selling me, or they'res for quoting me incorrectly. That's all

Not flaming you, but, this ^^ is what you asked. Nowhere in your OP did you ask whether it was your fault. You came across, at least to me, as expecting the worst to happen before even giving the vendor the opportunity to correct the issue.
