Default Question about PCO

I am in negotiations for an ordered truck, have not sealed the deal yet. Just found out this afternoon that I have a PCO for $1250.00 but it expires on March 23. I have read about needing a vin to apply the PCO so if things go quickly I may just make it.
If I am able to lock in the PCO but by some chance a PCO of higher value comes up can you apply the one of higher value or do you have to use the one that was locked in?

I have a truck on order. I also have a PCO expiring around the same time. I contacted my salesman today and he told me we could lock it in and go with it unless something better comes in before I take delivery / sign the final papers.

Don't know if this is the same everywhere or they are making accommodations, but that is what I have been told. Hope it helps!

Interesting as my salesman told me we could order it and lock in the pco and get any other rebates at the time of delivery. Only to find out later that no he locked it in but had to lock in the rebates at the time also and could not up it to the latest rebates. Disappointed

Thats pretty shady of them, I’d be raising hell.

So you guys ordering trucks, are you doing/planning to do your negotiating when the truck arrives and not when you place your order? Just curious.

Always get things in writing. That makes it easy to say "well, you failed to honor the terms of the agreement... so, bye! Hope you can sell that truck off your lot, because it's all yours now."

How did you "Just find out this afternoon"? I thought they mailed them to you, and if that is not how you found out how did you?

You need to do your negotiations prior to ordering.

I found out by calling Ford Marketing at 1-800-334-4375. This is the number to call to request a brochure and also get info on incentives and or PCO's. I had called the first time several weeks ago and requested a brochure, they said give it about 10 days and if I do not get one call back, this is the 3rd time that I called and they confirmed that I do have a PCO. They provided the program number as well as the certificate number as well because sometimes the brochure just does not make it through the mail.

My buddy just received a $1250 PCO today 4/3/2019 that expires on 4/1/2019.WHAT!!!. He then called Ford and while on the phone it turned into $2000 PCO good until July 1st. They gave him the certificate number and my brother (GM at Lincoln dealer) verified it.
