Default Question for 2018 Ruby Red Owners.

This is a picture of the underside of the hood on my Ruby Red F150. It appears to be Magma Red. Are there any other Ruby Red owners with this? Where the front fenders are bolted on under the hood are also magma.

Common across all manufacturers to have an engine bay color different than the outside. Cost saving tactic. Especially red. Reds are typically more expensive

Example...Ford escape. Red outside. black engine bay

My 2018 is the same... my 2015 Platinum white is However white under the hood.

it's no big deal, definitely cost savings in paint materials and also takt time... I'm sure it has saved Ford millions of dollars yearly...

I'm in the industry, it's called Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.... it's a great thing!
