Quality control? Poor quaility? = Future issues?
In my life time I have purchased over 30 new vehicles includes 3 Ford F150s and I normally find MAYBE one issue in the first 15,000 miles. This is the most expensive vehicle (MSRP $44,000) I have ever owned and I am up to a list of 7 issue before my first oil change. I am sure Ford can fix these issues, but am I going to have new issues after my warranty?
I sent Ford a message online with this list, but I am sure they will tell me to take it in for service and enjoy my 36/36 warranty that will be gone for my in under two years of driving.
1. Steering column rattles / clunks at low speeds (20-30 mph)
a. This started about 1500 miles ago and seems to be getting worse.
2. Harsh downshift 20-40 MPH (I noticed it around 2500 miles) - TSB
a. At low speeds the transmission down shifts and shakes the entire vehicle.
3. Fabric on the back of the driver side and passenger seats are poorly stitched. Fabric is folded over itself. (Noticed at about 4500 miles)
4. Intake for AC next to windshield wipers, gasket come off.
5. Steering seems to have a little drift at highway speeds. I don’t remember this in my 2007 or 2009 F150. (Seem more like just power steering and NOT steering rack and pinion.
6. Computer’s PSI shows tire much higher than real PSI. (7+ high in computer) I have test with 3+ tire pressure gauges.
7. Vibration has returned in the tires. I took the truck in at about 2000 miles and they rotated the tires and rebalanced and was better until now.
SO..... I have a $44,000 new truck with 7200 miles. Did I get a RAM Truck with a Ford logo?

Most are TSB that your dealer should have taken care of prior to your buying the truck, especially the transmission issue. As for #7, sounds like you have a bad tire. Did the vibration seem to move when they rotated the tires. My guess is a ply separation.
I just recently joined and I'm shocked at how many threads on quality defects and poor quality control coming out of the factory. Plus the overall build quality mentioned by many of the long time members here have me really thinking long and hard about even considering a Ford. My last truck was a '07 Tundra and had zero material defects, zero mechanical defects throughout my years of ownership.
My only gripes then we're the gas mileage for the small fuel tank. Now that Toyota has a larger tank that's done. I know every company has outliers, but it seems there is so much more than one or small issues here and there. Plus it seems everyone agrees for a $56K truck the stereo system requires about a grand of upgrades to make it sound decent. Kind of hard stomach. It is unfortunate, beautiful truck, comfortable as can be and has all the features I want.

But to be fair my dealer does do any TSB I ask them to do without any hassle. But then I'm still driving around with a bad TPSM that they wouldn't just replace while it was a intermittent problem, have to go back again now that it's stopped working completely.

"it seems everyone agrees for a $56K truck the stereo system requires about a grand of upgrades to make it sound decent" is not correct. A small number of F-150 owners feel that way. Read the audio section of the forum and I'm sure it feels like everyone. But it's not. It's magnifying but the volume...

Everyone has their standards, and what they will accept, or not. I bought my 2013 with a $41K+ sticker, paying $38K+ X-Plan less rebates to around $31K. Great truck for $31K. Would I pay $60K for a truck? I don't think so, at least compared to what I own now.

Yes. But they don't fix dealer inventory, unless the dealer is getting a mandate to fix it with funds attached. The dealer SHOULD be fixing vehicles before delivery though.
Nope, only customers who experience these problems are the trucks they fix. Not every truck has the same issues.
