The only time my gear indicator on my dash shows the current gear (1-6 [or higher depending on year]) is when I use progressive range selection (PRS), e.g. the buttons on the side of the gearshift lever. (PRS is used to lockout gears from automatic shift range.)

Can anyone confirm whether their gear indicator is illuminated all the time or just under PRS?

For those that have retrofitted the Raptor wheel and paddles, the + paddle can also be used to make it disappear under certain conditions (cant remember what they are!!! )
