Question I bought a Lariat with leafs missing! What would you do?

Ok so in July I bought a second Ecoboost. It is a SPORT 3.5L ecoboost Lariat 2wd. I bought it second hand, from a Cadillac dealership with 20,000 miles on it.

I checked out how the truck drove, inspected it pretty well but didn't even think to look at the suspension. The stance was level. My first ecoboost was an Fx4 so I thought "well I guess the sport editions are a bit more level than the FX4's".

I put a trailer on it last week and saw that the rear dip was pretty intense. Took the trailer off and Thought "Damn these sports suck with the suspension compared to my fx4". Then I put a 200 lb generator and some chains in the bed 2 days ago and noticed that the back was lower than the front. BullSH*t. I know ford wouldn't do that. Looked at the rear suspension and noticed leafs missing from the shackle.

SO. Im escaping the hurricane and for right now its not the #1 priority. Im going to go to the dealrship I bought it from when the hurricane clears and compare this to them selling me a car with "cut springs". See what they do. Not OK

What would you guys do? if the Cadillac Dealership doesn't make it right? (keep in mind I tow from 2,000-8,000 lbs quite regularly and I LIKE the rear being a bit higher than the front)

- Go to Ford and have them put the OEM leafs back in?
- Upgrade the whole Leaf System to a more heavy duty one? (any suggestions?)
- Find some leafs off other trucks and add until the stance is right? (do the leafs from older model f150's match?)

Thanks for your help. Here are some photos:

Rear (Bottom of Tire to Bottom of Fender) = 40.5"

Sport Measurements :
Front (Bottom of Tire to Bottom of Fender) = 37.5"
Rear (Bottom of Tire to Bottom of Fender) = 37.5"

Looks like a package without the overload spring.

Hmm.. so its only missing that smaller shorter one? This thing can't haul 400 lbs in the bed without being lower in the back than in the front. That seems terrible if thats "normal"

Not all trucks are the same...different payload packages dictate what spring pack they get.

Damn, I guess I expected a 50k truck to be able to take a Home Depot generator without looking like I had a huge payload. I guess the next question is what would you do from where I'm sitting so that I can tow my heavy loads.

There is supposed to be a gap, I don't think you are missing anything. I've watched a YouTube video not long ago about adding a leaf and the person stated a gap is correct for flexing or something.

I'd just swap in the leaf pack from a truck with higher payload and call it a day....if I didn't want to add helper bags that is.

He doesn't appear to have the overload springs like in Antho's post.
