Default Putco bumper grill insert?

I'm wondering if anyone has installed one of these on their truck? if so, how do you like it? it is decent quality? what about the lights? do they have decent output or are they just for decoration.

I like the fact that it gets rid of the 2 plastic pieces on the sides and has a light integrated into the middle.

I have one with the round holes and without the lights. It came with a license plate relocation bracket to move the plate out of the way for air flow to the intercooler. gona put it on when I put on my bull bar.

I have no requirements for a front license plate where I live so it would be great to get rid of all that plastic and just have grill up front.

post pics when you have it installed!

Got er done today. Didnt take long. Hardest part was getting the old plastic stuff off. Those clips can be tough. Super easy install.

I really like the relocation of the plate. Totally out of the way of air flow to the intercooler. The old grill that was there allowed a rock or something to hit my intercooler in a small pert bending the fins in an area the size of a quarter.

I would recommend this for those that want a little more protection for there intercooler.

Next up is the bull bar and then lights for the bar.

I got the one with the lights. The light output is actually awesome! I actually made a hybrid design using the center piece of the putco grille and the stock outer pieces. I will take some pictures to post up to see what people think.

i'd like to see pics of this setup. I was thinking i'd actually like to leave the side pieces in place and just find something to fill the middle section

Sorry, it's been a few days. Here are some pics of my hybrid bumper grille. I took the putco insert w/ light bar and added stock end pieces with a set of flush mount KC's. I think it turned out okay. It actually started out as a major screw up modifying my stock piece.

Looks good. Did you have to modify the side pieces at all for them to fit or did they just go back on over the putco with no problem? I havent even looked under there to see how they are held on yet.

A word of caution. If you have the ACC module, this will not fit. Modified like the above in conjunction with the OEM part, it will fit.

Oh there was some modifications required. I cut up the putco grille. Hated to do that to a brand new piece, but I wanted it a certain way. The stock end pieces overlap slightly. Plus, I couldn't use flush mounts with the putco grille in the way behind them.
