As long as you're getting what you want you have no worries. As mentioned, make sure everything is what you want, rear end, color etc. Get it right to start with and don't look back. Enjoy the heck out of your new truck!!!

Be sure and post a pic.

My dealer found the truck I wanted out of town. It was a 2018 Lariat 5.0. Never owned a Ford before but I test drove the 5.0 on the lot and it drove fine. I didn’t really get on it but maybe half throttle. It was ok.
Well the dealer tried to jack me around on the price at the last min so I refused the truck.
I found the exact truck but with the EB at another dealership out of town. The EB just felt peppier to me. The low end torque felt awesome.
I’m sure I would have been happy with either engine. Both ran great but i opted for the EB.

Well, testing on the lot is not how to test drive in my mind. The EB has the torque down low and you couldnt stretch the 5.0L Coyote's legs in a parking lot lol.

True, but in normal driving the EB felt quite a bit more sporty. I didn’t want to redline the 5.0 to feel the power.

5.0 with 3.55. Nice combo. It can get up and go, trust me. Good luck either way. Great trucks.

I went to the first Ford dealer with my mind made up on the 5.0. I drove one 2.7L ecoboost after driving a couple of the V8s and changed my mind immediately. I even preferred it over the 3.5 after a few more test drives at another dealer on a different day. If you prefer the 5.0 after test driving your options, then it’s the right truck for you.

The 5.0 seems like a great engine. Go buy your truck and enjoy!

I only test drove the 5.0, and walked away with it. My girlfriend's father has worked for Ford for 50yrs (forced to retire this yr) and he strongly urged me to get the 5.0 so I listened. I love everything about it. But don't make a purchase with doubts. Buyer's regret is the worst. All said I don't see how you could end up disappointed with the V8. Please post pics after you make the purchase.

Regardless of which engine you decide to get, do a thorough test drive to see how it feels in both city and highway driving. Do a good walk around the truck and look for imperfections in the paint, check the panel alignment, check the oil level and tires. There have been a lot of threads started over the last couple of months about individuals finding scratches, paint imperfections, panel misalignment, wind noise, vibration, etc... that most could have been seen/found out prior to buying if they would have done a good test drive. All of the engines are definitely a good choice but it all depends on your decision after driving them all. I drove each one and ended up with the 2.7 EB after I brought it home for almost a week long test drive. It was a great week, loved the truck and bought it. No regrets at all since.
Good luck and make sure you post pics.

This probably won’t help much, but I love all of the engines offered. Driven them all and they are all excellent.
Just the other day I was visiting friend at my dealership and drove the new 3.3 naturally-aspirated to lunch, and even that was quite impressive.

That being said, I’m on my 3rd 5.0L since re-introduced in 2011 and I always get the 3.55 gear ratio. My current one is a ‘16 and I still adore her.

How many miles did you have on your previous 5.0s?
