This reminds of a time where I was in a certain, hot country, and and my gunner shot a pen flare (small signal flare to tell vehicles that an approaching convoy was coming) and it hit the windshield, bounced up, and lit the hay on fire. I stopped to give the guy a claims card. Not sure how much the government paid to reimburse him. I felt pretty bad afterwards, but it was also pretty funny.
