Push Button Start - Glove Box Key??
Yesterday my boss purchased a new 2017 F150 Lariat 502A Pkg. Obviously it has push button start. He also purchased 2 Bolt Lock products.
When initially pairing the Bolt Lock products to the vehicle, the instructions clearly state to use the glove box key, not the emergency key found in the fob. I can't find anything in the Owner's Manual about a glove box key nor do I find a glove box key with the vehicle.
Can someone please enlighten me

The trucks come with two fobs AND a glove box key as pictured, but the dealers alway loose the latter.
I coded my BOLT hitch pin with the fob key without issue though. Just make sure you give it some good torque.

So I know Rotunda and other aftermarket key manufacturers make an uncut side cut key blanks (Rotunda part# 164-R7982).

I may have to take the emergency key and have a spare key made. The dealer or locksmith can do this if needed, just didn't want to go through that exercise and expense if I was simply overlooking the obvious.

Nonetheless you were able to use emergency key from the fob to initially code the lock to the key? I'm assuming you must have gently used a pair of pliers for additional leverage?
Your truck came with a glove box key like in the picture or just the emergency key in the fob? I can't find the glove box key anywhere.

I used the e-key to code mine. They didn’t have that insert telling you to use the glove box key when I bought mine. Didn’t need pliers. I don’t actually remember it taking that much torque. They are likely just trying to prevent returns from people half turning the lock with their emergency key and forking it up.
Yes, three keys total. Two fobs and a glovebox key.

Use a "cheater bar" on the key you have. It will be fine.
If there is no valet key (glove box key), go back to the dealer and ask for it.
All of the locks I use to secure my TT are BoltLock keyed to my truck's ignition key!
