Default Push Button Start

I hear a lot of folks wanting push button start with their XLs and XLTs. Found this and wanted to share. What do ya think?

How lazy have we become, seriously. The day inserting a key and turning it is too much is the day I am kaput.

just like power windows and door locks, so lazy! We cant even hand crank our engines to start them! Air filled rubber tires!?!? The Amish get around just fine with wagon wheels! LED headlights?!?! Is a handheld lantern not good enough?

I don’t think it’s laziness at all. My mom recently got a civic and she loves the fact that she doesn’t have to dig through her purse for her keys and simply pushes the button on the door handle to get in. It’s really handy when it’s raining. I don’t have a purse so this feature doesn’t really appeal to me.

Heck, I'd like to still have my flip-key fob to unlock the steering column and power up the truck, but also have a push-button on the dash to replace the action of twisting the key into a Start position... I have a red Start button from a Honda S2000 that I never installed in another Ford from 10 years ago... or I could do a NECKCAR-style momentary toggle. Yeah.

"Gentlemen, START YOUR ENGINES!" Hee.

Kind of pricey, but this is the one thing I miss from my ST.

I am coming over from a Ram Sport with push button and my wife's CRV is push button. I will post back in a week and let you know how it goes. I had to change the battery in my fob once and had a few times where the fob was in my pocket behind my wallet and the truck could not find it and it shut the engine down and the first stop sign I hit.

My F150 won't shut the engine off if the key fob isn't detected. It simply beeps the horn a couple of times and keeps running. DO NOT shut it off though.........
