Hey everyone! Complete newbie here, to the forum and to F150 ownership!
So as it says in the title I think I ordered the wrong Perimeter Plus module, I’ve got a 2018 XLT and I purchased FS7Z-16A361-A but after doing some looking around I actually need JS7Z-16A361-A. I realize it’s just a newer version of the same device but is there any way the FS will work with the 2018 or should I look at attempting a return and ordering the one labelled as correct for my truck?

I think you meant FS7Z-19A361-A as the part #. I don't know why it shouldn't work or what might have changed between '17 and '18 MY. I see they do call out distinct part #s for the different MY. Before you commit I think you should look into getting the correct one now you know which. Though there is only one way to find out. Install takes of 10 minutes so you'll know soon enough if it works. I installed one in my truck (can't find the # now) and love it in the winter. I was able to get an additional insurance discount too.

Yes, sorry. Couldn’t sleep and my brain went fuzzy on the part number. You’re correct, it’s FS7Z-19A361.
I hope I’m just worrying for nothing and it’ll be plug and play. It’s sitting at the post office waiting for me to pick it up.

Looks like the FS goes to 2015 model year. Since the perimeter module does a lot of stuff with the existing electronics in the truck I would NOT put in the wrong one - but that's just an opinion
