This new set I went back to leveling pucks, and 5100's set at stock height. To me, better ride, same performance. I am however running 10 ply tires on my Raptor rims. (My 2010 also ran leveling pucks and stock 5100 height)
That's what I'm thinking on doing once I can get these installed. I have levelling pucks in now and figured I'd keep them and just leave at stock height. I'm more worried about it feeling too stiff (?) if it's at max height. I really would hate to dislike the quality of ride and have to spend more money to bring them back down.

I think 98% of reviews I’ve seen of Bilsteins start with “firm.” Whether they are on the top perch or bottom. Prep for firm and you should be ok

That's fair. I'm just waiting for nicer weather to do my backs as well as calipers and rotors. Here in Ontario the weather doesn't know what it wants to do right now. Hopefully in April I'll get the fronts done at the girlfriends dads shop.

My experience with bilstein 5100s is that they’re nice when new but they don’t last. Noises, ****ty ride after 40k. Won't buy them again

You will, I’ve had mine on for over 40k now, no leaks and still provide a great ride. Second best upgrade I’ve done on my 2019 xlt besides the tune….

Yep not cheap. When I got my tuner with 3 custom tunes at 5 star a few years ago it was 6 or $700, but holy cow what a difference and
I got what are considered "safe" tunes....
