Thumbs up Pulled The Trigger

Ordered a 2015 Ford Lariat today:

2015 Ford F-150 Lariat SuperCrew, 145", 5.0 V8, 4x4, FX4, .373 locker, Lariat Chrome

Ingot Silver
501A Pkg
Blk Interior
Trl Tow Pkg
18" Chrome-Like PVD Whls
275/65R18 OWL All-Terrain Tires
Whl Well Liners
All Weather Rubber Mats
Leather-Trim 40/20/40 Ht/Cool Frt Seats

No deal info as they do this when it arrives. Nothing down to order.

The sales department tried locating this truck with no luck. I then met with the inventory manager who built my truck from my price-build print-out. We were able to get an exact perfect build and price match between his Ford computer and my build sheet.

Also spent time with him learning how they track the vehicles sitting on rail cars. I guess that is similar with what I read in a rail tracking thread on F150 Forums.

He selected a truck that had been built in Dearborn and shipped south on the Northfolk Southern. The detailed screen showed every rail point it passed through headed to Atlanta. He supplied me with my COTUS Info so I am in. He as very helpful and did not rush the time.

He also said Ford changes their incentives and etc quarterly. The next change if there are any will be 4-1-15, Weds.

Thx to those who helped with answering my past/future questions. I learned a lot from this site that led to a successful build/order. Just waiting.

Thx
Arc

The only thing I had to order that I absolutely did not want was the chrome angular step bar. I dislike them and hope they can be easily removed. Something else to store in the garage.

How does that work? I mean I get that you don't have to sign anything, but I'd at least think they'd get you to more or less settle on a price. I guess it depends if you're ordering something pretty typical that they are confident they'll be able to sell to someone else. You and they might have radically different views on what the final price will be, right?

If you don't negotiate the price when you order you're going to get screwed on price when it arrives!

If they won't settle on a price at the time of order go to a different dealer!

Have them cancel these rubber mats. Your money is better spent with Husky or Weathertech. The Ford mats don't provide full coverage.

Your dealer/salesperson has provided you with a lot of accurate information. I commend them on knowing both their product AND the process - not many do.

Can't go wrong with that build! Good luck, and hopefully the wait isn't too long

Nonsense.

He's not committed to anything and has put no money down (which wouldn't matter anyway). He's free to walk away at any time. So 'getting screwed' only happens if you LET it.

If they are an honest dealership (and from the sounds of it they are), they aren't just interested in selling him a truck today and making $$$$. They are interested in building a relationship and selling more vehicles to him in the years to come.

He's not committed to buying anything. They know this, too. If he doesn't like the deal, he walks away. Nothing lost (for him).
