I noticed something tonight that I have not noticed before and am wondering if it is due to putting trailer tow mirrors on. I read the OM before posting this question and there is no mention of the puddle lights coming on when you hit the cargo light switch. I don't ever recall them coming on with the stock mirrors but for some reason the fact that they were on tonight just jumped out at me.

Simple question (I hope), for those of you with regular mirrors do the puddle lights come on when you hit the cargo light button. Same question for you with TT mirrors.

The Puddle Lamp circuit and CHMSL (Cargo Lamp) circuit are both supplied 12V from the same pin on the BCM so as long as the puddle lamps are enabled in the DDM & PDM I would say that is correct on both Trailer Tow and non-Trailer Tow mirrors.

 

What was your edit? do you have one of those schematics that shows that pin of the bcm actually going to the mirror too?
