Pscm rack
Hey guys, i have a 2020 ford f-150 3.5ecoboost 4x4 i just installed a new rack and pinion followed all procedures for programming and everything seems to be good except that i have a “steering assist fault service required” message every time i start my truck. I used forscan to reprogram module to old readings but this code won’t go away when turning truck on. Please if anyone can help it’d be greatly appreciated!!also forscan dtc shows u2100 initial configuration not complete seems like it’s more of a soft code
Per WSM:
Check vehicle service history for recent service actions related to this module. This DTC will set due to incomplete or improper PMI procedures. If there have been recent service actions with this module, REPEAT/CARRY OUT the PMI procedure as directed by the diagnostic scan tool. If there have been no recent service actions, INSTALL a new module to correct the failure to retain configuration data.
Sounds like the program didn't carry out or the module is faulty. FORSCAN is an aftermarket tool and so that comes with the warning that it may not work.
