Default Progressive Range Selection shift issue

I've noticed recently when I shift to drive the PRS automatically comes up on my display as if I've engaged it. I'm not hitting the +/- and I don't recall seeing this before. Luckily it goes away after a few seconds. Any thoughts on why it's suddenly doing this? I would upload a vid but mp4s is apparently a no-go.

Are you talking about the mode selector display on your instrument cluster?

I'm at a loss, I've never seen anything like that. What year trim level is your F150?

So it would normally pop up when the +/- is pressed, but now appears when shifting? The buttons are on the stalk, so maybe a loose wire/connection in the shifter? Try wiggling the stalk around without actually shifting and see if it pops up...

it's a 2018 XLT. It has the sync 3 with the 4 inch display and not the 8 inch.

I have that 4" display as well, in my 2020. I swear I've never seen that.

I have never seen that before either and I have had both the 4 inch and 8 inch screens. Can you set another display option such as the digital speedometer as the favorite and it show up instead? Are you the original owner? Maybe someone changed a setting in ForScan?

Good luck let us know what you find out.

there is no digital speedometer. The only common display or home screen is fuel economy. Everything else is just settings. And there's no settings to change to anything different. There were two owners before me. The first owner is a mystery the second was my uncle, who would have known nothing about forscan. He passed a few months ago, which is how i ended up with this truck. I actually have forscan but have never hooked it up to this vehicle. Thinking about it though

I tried but I couldn't seem to find anything wrong with it, other than that. When I do use prs, it functions smoothly. Shifter feels good. Buttons feel good.
