Prices vs the Competition

Apparently, certain GMCs/Silverado's shake violently @ highway speeds. I think its magnified on various GM forums, just like this form regarding Ford issues. A number of Contractors I know have the new GMC/Chevs, and not one has a problem with said vibration.or any other problem for that matter. Having said that I know of an equally amount of F 150 owners, and no one is experiencing any problems on their vehicles either.I wouldn't be afraid to buy a new GMC/Chev or F 150 when I am ready to purchase next year.

When my son wanted a new truck he looked at the Plat, High Country and eventually bought the Ram Limited.
The Ram he bought is really very nice and was $10k cheaper then the Plat he looked at and honestly, I like his truck more then any F150 I have sat in.
I have always been a Ford man but with my next purchase I am going to look harder at the others.

Right now there are great deals on Fords that bring them down a little closer to the comparable competitors but IMO the Fords look the best. Now I know a lot of people are all about the features (and I am too) but if I'm planning on keeping a truck for an extended period of time, I want one that I am in love with visually AND want to drive every day.
With that being said, the new GMs look pretty terrible and the Dodges look outdated to me.

I was on the fence between my F-150 config and a similar Silverado around the same price. But the Ford's features were just slightly better, and a larger moonroof, and nicer interior. But the 2.7L is what won me over.

Hi guys. Newbie here looking for another truck.
Like a lot of you, I've been a blue oval fan since I was knee high to a grasshopper. I am starting to compare all the trucks in prep for a purchase, and I gotta agree that to me, as much as I like Fords, they seem to be higher priced than the competition for similar packages/options. Not a big Chrysler fan, but not ruling out the Ram either. IMHO, it seems like the GM twins have a slightly nicer interior that the Ford. Ford's Al body sure is big plus to me though.

I could have gotten a Denali cheaper than my KR, and sometimes wish I had (or even an SLT). My fiancé's dad just got a 2015 Sierra 2500 a few months ago...I was really impressed with it, especially how quiet it was (and this is a 2500 even).

I'm a Ford guy but I thought I was going to buy a 6.2 Chebby High Country or GMC Denali and unless I'm doing something wrong, there's a very limited supply of 6.2 motors at the moment.
If anyone is looking to jump ship, you can get a $60K 4x 6.2 Denali for $51,000 at Laura GMC.

Ultimately, I wish I hadn't traded my 2012 Silverado in. That thing was rock solid. My 2010 Silverado did have its share of issues though. I still use a GM forum that I frequently read and my general opinion is that the members are solid GM fans. However, out of a poll of right at 100 people, 56% have the vibration issue. Is an internet poll scientific? No. However, where there is smoke there is fire in my experience.
Personally, I hate when others dismiss or discount another person's experience. I have seen it here. As a 2015 F-150 owner with several significant issues, it is very frustrating. Even if it is a minority--it is still a minority that paid 40+K for what they thought would be a reliable truck.
