Default Pressure washing underside?

Looking ahead to the spring, I have an undercarriage washer that attaches to a pressure washer wand. I plan on using it to try and get the salt and sand out of there but as I got looking around, I see an awful lot of wires going places. Do we have to be careful about washing the underside? I realize it gets wet when it rains but I’m wondering if a higher pressure wash will start ruining electronics.

Have never had to deal with wires that were plumbed along the rear axle or anything on past vehicles.

You should be fine. The pressure coming out of the nozzles are a lot lower because there are multiple.

If you're 2wd you might be close to the wand, but 4x4 or leveled trucks should be even more safe because they are further away from the nozzles.

On my pressure washer I can adjust the pressure. If you have that option use a low pressure. Otherwise, have at it. Car washes use under body sprayers frequently.

I pressure washed mine it came out great I used a $15 Walmart foam canon loaded with Dawn dish washing detergent for the chassis, trying not to get any Dawn foam on the paint. For the body I used Meguiar's Gold Class.

The chassis wash is at the start of the Header install video. BTW I drive my truck year round in salty Indiana winters.

Where exactly is it? I've washed my truck about 3 times underneath, where I just get in a push-up position and spray everywhere, including the differential. Didn't realize the stupid vent was open, rather than with a special cap that doesn't take water when washed. But not surprised it doesn't have one. Just curious where is it. The good news is if only a little gets in there, it should evaporate with the heat, at least in summer, no? Thx.

Jesus, I didn't even realise there was a rear end vent on these. Good thing you mentioned it so I can take a look. I wonder why ford wouldn't make it longer and have it point down or maybe put some sort of vent cap on the end?
