From what I read, there's a 12V constant to the 7 pin wiring plug for diagnostic purposes. I would guess it'll work, but not sure.

Maybe it is for the switch. The guy at the dealership that showed me the truck said that normally there would be an outlet like the cigarette lighter outlet but mine didn't come with it. There are the spots where the lights would be though which would be nice to have. I wouldn't go out of my way to wire one up but if it was a plug and play option I was definitely interested

Few things irritate me more than a saleperson that doesn't study the vehicles they sell. If it's your job you should know everything about the options and trims on the vehicles you sell and if you don't know then you shouldn't make crap up.

I can tell you that my nearly fully loaded Platinum doesn't have a 12V Power Outlet in the bed of my truck and I don't have any unused holes or covers in there.

When my canopy was installed, the dealer also installed a 12v outlet (a bar of 3 in a row, actually, but I only really need one) inside the canopy. We use a 12v cooler, and I asked them to use heavy-gauge wire to connect. They took power right off of the battery. Since it is "live" all of the time, it is also a good place to connect a charger or to power a small inverter. 2¢

There are three holes blanked off without the light kit. Two oval holes, one each side, and one about 1x1 inch hole on the left rear for the switch.

There is no place for a factory power outlet.

The light kit is a non-trivial installation without an ability to turn the function on in the body control module. (i.e. Use Forscan to turn it on). Its also expensive. The actual light and wire harness install is trivial.

Yup that's definitely what it was. The guy got my hopes up. No wonder I couldn't find anything about anything a stock power outlet in the bed. But I did find plenty of stuff about lights and it is for sure the switch

I ran 10 Gauge from the battery to the back of the bed, but haven't found a decent socket yet, nor figured out a good way to attach it to the topper.

Here's the lights and the switch below it. One of my favorite things about my truck. I use the bed lights all the time.

I have a few of those, look at the back side and tell me you think waterproof is a proper description.
