It looks like they spray the entire tailgate, I wonder why the factory liner doesn't cover the bottom area. If it was a clearance issue then I would think the Line-x would be a problem as well?

Line-X standard, $479 Crestwood, MO, 5.5' bed. Looks like bcollin's. Chose Line-X because their shop was close to my house and their price was right. Rhino was about twice as far away and they were going to charge $100 more.

Question for you plastic liner guys..I would love a plastic liner for durability, but fear the dreaded wear they inflict on the painted bed surface over time...thoughts? Anyone considered putting a rubber liner under a plastic (penda/dura/ford drop in liner? I found 5x5 & 6x8 sheets of PVC pond liner that would be perfect...maybe glue or tape to underside of plastic liner before dropping it in??

Chris,
All I ever used in my pickups were plastic liners. You know how many times I ever took it out to check underneath?? Zero. When I sell my current truck, the liner will go with it.. Next truck, I'll have a new plastic liner.
I have noticed areas where the plastic has rubbed the paint, (up under the side rail). Im really **** about my truck, but for whatever reason, that never really bothered me. I guess it was my trade off of knowing what the bedliner protected all the times I threw stuff in the back and the slight damage it did.. Im sure a peice of rubber would work underneath, but my concern would also possibly be trapping and keeping moisture...... Cant win either way... lol....

I have a Full Metal Jacket spray in Bedliner. Has a lifetime warranty. I went through my dealer when I got it done. I'm very happy with the results, but a large part of that is the shop prepped it very well.
