Default Post Lift / Level (&/or Tire Swap) MPG Thread

Not sure if there's any interest but figured it might be helpful/fun to have a MPG thread narrowed down to catalog what the typical impact these more common mods have on folks' MPG numbers.

Note: I checked but didn't see any old threads specifically focused on MPG & these mods so forgive me if this is a 'dupe'. Flame suit nearby in case I end up needing it for posting another MPG thread

Here's my info:

2015
3.5 EcoBoost
4wd
3:55 Gearing

Mods:
2" Front Level
Tire Swap 275/65R18 ---> 275/70R18

MPG Impact vs Stock: Loss of .5mpg
(NOTE: I hand-calculate my MPGs figuring in the 3.4% delta my up-tire-sizing caused the speedo to be off)

I like this. I was always curious how badly my MPG would be effected with a level vs. lift.

2016 5.0 v8
4wd
3.31 gears
275/65/18 stock

Mods: 2" level with 35x12.5x17 BFGoodrich KO2's. Lost about 1-1.5 MPG.

might be a dumb question... did you correct your speedo after the change? if not, your odometer is wrong and estimating low on mileage and your computer estimating mpg would be off too. at .5 mpg, you could actually have no change. with you increasing ~3% in tire size .5mpg would also be 3% of 17mpg

Not a dumb question at all. No I didn't have my speedo re-calibrated however, I do hand-calculate my MPGs with the 3.4% delta figured in. I will update my original post to reflect this. Thanks!
