Default Poor Lighting

I have a 2020 XLT Does anybody think the headlights are poor. Low beam is horrible and high is not that much better. My wife nissan juke has twice as much lighting especially high beam. Just regular bulbs. Im sure Ford just put the basic bulbs. So does anybody agree or is it just me..

Good Afternoon Neighbor....
On my 2015 F150 the lights were terrible too. There was a thread about changing the bulbs to other bulbs that did not fit. So you needed to grind off the plastic tab to make it fit into the Ford headlight slot and turn. The other part of it was when you removed your high beam bulbs you remove them carefully. Then remove the lower driving lights bulb and put the highbeam bulb in there. I did that part also and had no issues with blinding on comming cars. The brighter head light bulbs did blind on comming traffic so I removed them. But left in the lower bulbs. I then went to Phillips Brite White bulbs high beam and low beam and I liked them. My new truck I don't drive much at night but come fall I'lll be changing the bulbs.

The halogen headlights on these trucks are absolutely horrible. I’m thinking of changing out the entire headlight housings to leds as soon as I settle on which ones to buy.

I upgraded the bulbs on my factory 2017 XL halogens, and they still sucked!

Ended up installing Anzo LED lights and they are fantastic. Would absolutely do it again...

You can change the bulbs to something better. But try aiming the headlights now or with the new bulbs. It’s not uncommon for them to be poorly aimed from the factory.

Check out www.headlightrevolution.com

Make sure your buying a quality bulb, not just any LED bulb. Headlight Revolution has many excellent YouTube videos to see in regards to what they have.

That's where I have bought my bulbs for my 2017. The first lighting 'mod' I did was to put LED lights in the fog light housings. Just changing out the fogs, they were substantially brighter than the low beams. Now I have aftermarket headlight housings that I have HID's in the low beams and LED's in the high beams. They are so much better than stock. But even the stock housings (with the right LED bulbs) can have great light output. Factory output is poor though.

Rigid industries solved my lighting issues.

I put in Sealight led’s from Amazon. Nice and bright and don’t blind if you adjust headlight. Factory bulbs suck!
