Everytime I come upon a fitment thread like this, I check what ever the issue is on my truck. I have not had any issues in this or any other to date and my truck was built on a Friday obviously, using sober robots. Nor have these robots had Covid as they wear masks and practice social distancing. The only issue I have found is the warped dash and as I understand it, it is standard on all F150 models. No need to get it as an option. Other than that, my truck is perfect.

So, what is the build date and factory?

What is everyone else's build data and factory and did you get a "good" or " bad" panel fit?

I'll start, I have a 2020 STX . Built in Kansas City in November 5 of 2019. A Tuesday truck. good fit and finish.

Mine was built in Dearborn on Wednesday 2/26/20 and the fit and finish is good.

It's amazing that the Friday/Monday build thing has stuck for 40 years?
Exactly. Vehicles aren't all built in 1 day. 3 shifts. 7 days a week. I get a lot of Ford line workers for customers. I ask them all the time about this. They think the "Friday/Monday" thing is funny as well.

Also don't you supposedly get pulled over more or have higher insurance in a red colored vehicle right? 😆. My dad used to love telling me that. Amazing these myths are still around

Funny I should come across this thread, I literally just the other day noticed the front end fitment issues on my truck after owning it for three years....wish I hadn't noticed. I can't see how there's a fix for this? Think Ill just have to live with it.....

Wow, how is the OP going to react when he opens the hood and looks at the dog's breakfast there? A little bumper misalignment is going to look so good by comparison.

I'm disappointed in the fit/finish of my 2020 XLT after owning three other Ford trucks, this one is the worse by far. I have very large gaps on both sides of the tail gate the right side in particular and there is no adjustment that can be made, leading me to believe when the bed was put together was not square. I also have primer showing through all along the roof drip channel on both sides.

For those giving the OP a hard time about being picky, he should be for the price paid. Why did quality control not catch it and correct it before sending it out the door? Oh, they don't care. Ford is still the number one selling truck.

And before you tell me I should have looked at the truck closer, I assumed these days and times that quality control was better than ever and just wanted to get in and get out of the stealership.

Because it's a Ford I guess? I have 21 years in auto body. So I've seen way worse on way more expensive vehicles. You want to see real bad quality control? Look at any Chevy, Nissan, Toyota, bmw, or Mercedes. I Worked in the body shops of dealers that serviced all these makes/models. Seen countless color mismatches between panels, lights rubbing paint off because of poor fitment. Giant dust nibs. 6" long runs in the paint. No paint in the jambs. I'm talking 0 paint. Not even overspray. Multiple factory level paint jobs with no prep in between. Resulting in mil build so thick it chips incredible easy, then peels. Chevy is notorious for that

One of my former employers whom I'm still in contact with, is a tesla certified shop. Those have countless fit/finish issues. So I guess when I see a Ford like this. I don't see a misaligned hood/bumper, that a competent body shop could take care of in 45 minutes, as that big of a deal. Because it could be worse. And could've have bought a Toyota and be dealing with all the paint peeling off

Remember when a truck was just a truck.
Ya just rifled stuff in to the box and climbed in the cab covered in mud, horse sweat and cow crap.
Then you pushed the gate back open with the bumper on the way back to the road.

The build quality issues were obvious to me when I was test driving trucks. When I decided to go with Ford, I knew I'd have to live with it. Still, it was worse than I expected. I haven't seen such indifferent assembly quality since the '80s.
