A Ford Used Premium Care ESP from Zeigler for 3yr or 36,000 miles with a $50 deductible for a 2019 F150 4x4 gas in Md is $2,135.
obviously if you lower the mileage, deductible, or years, it will go down in cost.
if you call Zeigler, they’ll pick up the phone. I just called and transferred my old policy to the new owner and added one on my F250
🤷♂️
I’ve never priced out a renewal. But if you take it in and the dealer said nothings wrong, and it expires and you’re worried…have the dealer fill out Zeigler used insp form.

ok eff it - just got a $100 deductible, 48 months, 24k miles extension with lights included (extra charge) for $1950 all in. Because I am not expired yet, no inspection was necessary. She said this literally will be an extension of exactly what I have now except now with a $100 deductible.
Moose - you owe me half!

So. Another cr@p day at Ford service. Century Ford of Mt Airy. Surprise, surprise, the problem only needed a trans software update (at least according to Ford).
I dropped the car off for an oil change and the trans issue. The warranty had 8 miles left on it when I parked it in their lot. When they finished it had 47999.9. 48k is the warranty with $0 (6/26). So they call when it is done and tell me $100 deductible. Huh? The warranty through 48k was $0. While they had it, I extended the ESP but they did not offer a $0 so I got a $100 deductible. He says Ziegler cancelled Flood's 0$ warranty so I have to pay. I told him no way when I dropped it off it was $0 and can't he figure that out with Flood and Ziegler? We argued back and forth and finally he says he'll just give it to me for $0 to shut me up. Acts like he is doing me the world's biggest favor. Then he spouts off about every time I come in again it will be minimum $100 no matter what I get done. Petty to say but yeah that is what the new ESP is - $100 deductible.
I mean even if I should pay this measly $100, I have bought 2 new vehicles from them and both are at replacement time (both 2018s). They are going to argue with me over $100 and potentially lose my business? Well, yes, that is exactly what he did. The service manager really has no business in a customer facing position. He should have said, "Oh wow that is a good point Mr. Customer! Don't worry about the $100 we'll figure it out!" He didn't, and now I will never step foot in that dealership again. Oh and while I am paying, my wife is looking at a new Bronco Sport which she loves and would have bought it today if I let her.
So that is the $100 deductible story. Now to the oil change. In the past I have supplied the oil and filter and they charge me $15 for the labor. This time he says $90. They forgot that I provided the oil and filter. Then he says $57. Huh again. They rotated the tires which I never told them to do. Tires are almost new and did not need a rotation. I told him this. He should have waived that as well but whatever. I just wanted to leave at that point so I paid and left.
When I got to the car they had changed the setting on the running boards to off. So I had no running boards to get in. I do have a bad back but no real big deal. Just sloppy. Also I looked around for the extra oil. I gave them 10 quarts (2 x 5 quarts Mobil1) and in the past they had left the extra quart on the seat. Gone also.
I will be contacting the dealership general manager and also Ford corporate. Not that it will do anything. But, there is NO shortage of Ford dealers in the DC area. I have 4 within an easy drive. They'll never get any business from me again.
