Default Polishing Lariat Black B Pillars

The very first time I hand washed my truck I was surprised to see how easy the gloss black B pillars were to scratch. Spent a few minutes just now using some Meguiar's Ultimate Compound on a microfiber cloth.

I'll let the results speak for themselves

Looks good. Hit it with some Ultimate Polish to really make them look nice. Then some Collinite

That's an awesome difference. Anyone have an idea to keep them that way without having to reapply?

Totally agree, mine scratched very easily (too easily) as well. Thanks for the post

How odd you posted this as I just repaired my B pillars last night. Bought the truck a week ago and I guess the dealer scrubbed them with a brush. I used Meguiars ultimate polish and ultimate wax. Made them look brand new again.

I used the Klasse All In One and same results. I think the Compound cuts more of the surface off and a more gentle polish can be applied more often wothout taking away too much of the plastic.

I use Plexus Plastic Cleaner and it works pretty good also.

I use Griots Speed Shine. Good for just about anywhere on the truck. You can get it direct from Griots Garage or from Amazon.

I bought an extra set and had them hydro-dipped with a carbon fiber pattern
