Default Please help quick

I am doing my first oil change. Truck is empty, filter is swapped. Went to put new oil in and realized the 5qt is 5w-30 and the 1qt is 10w-30. Crap! So what should I do...put the 5qts in and head straight to the store for the last quart or just put the 10w-30 in? This is the only vehicle so I don't have the option to just leave it. Thanks for the help!

You should be fine with 5 to go to the store and pick up the last quart.

^^What he said.

After 5000-6000 miles I lose about 3/4 of a quart anyways.

If you're in a southern state and the onset of winter will not being cold temps, running that last quart of 10w30 would actually be fine mixed in with the 5w30 so long as it's all the same brand. It'll bring the overall weight to something around 6w30, but that only adds more protection, especially if you're running the 2.7 which dilutes the oil quite a bit as it is.
