Default Please help! "no key detected" error

So I did the raptor steering wheel swap and had the negative battery cable disconnected overnight. After reinstalling everything I now get a notification saying "no key detected" for both fobs when I attempt to start the truck. Batteries are good in both fobs. The weird thing is the fobs are still able to lock and unlock but not start.

Put them in the holder in the truck and try again.

If you can't start it, why is it a good thing it shuts off in 15 minutes. What am I missing? Or do you not know you can shut the vehicle off with the FOB if it has been remote started?

I don't know how the sensors work or where they are located, not sure I would point a finger to that though.

Since you have already put the FOB in the 'secret' place that allows a fob to start the vehicle in the event of dead FOB batteries, the system itself isn't recognizing a key is present.
Interesting how they separated the system that detects a key and will not allow a start from the remote start scenario.

Worst case scenario, reinstall the original steering wheel and see if that fixes the problem.

Maybe there is a programming thing that needs to be performed to make a RAPTOR steering wheel work in a standard F150?

Worked till you swapped steering wheels. Double check all the plug in connectors. Worst case put the old steering wheel back on and see if things go back to normal.

The module that senses the key fob is under the console behind the front cup holder...did you remove the console by chance and forget to plug this back in? Just thinking of possibilities, not sure what the steering wheel has to do with key recognition (not to say it doesn't, just don't know for sure).

Why were you fiddling with console connectors in the first place? (Shout out to dallas150 for calling it)
