As i read more and more about leveling my truck, i still can't figure out why my truck came like this and not level? Now i will have to spend $500 more for me to really have that truck feeling, i hate to pull next to a chevy, dodge, tundra, etc... And see that they are much higher than me
So, what is the purpose of having the front 2.5 inches lower? Why ford doesn't just sell them equally level stock?.
Thanks

For when you are towing or have a load the truck isn't sagging in the rear.

I might do the rear block removal. I do not want to pay $700 more or less for tailgate step at Ford parts. Every bit helps as I have a plastic milk crate I use to climb up into the bed ! Who ever orders the trucks at my dealer missed it as my Lariat has all but the moon roof.

All of those trucks have the same 1.5"-2.5" rake from the factory. None of them are leveled unless of course a dealership added a kit on.

Like what was said above, I doubt leveling causes loss in mpg.

I'm not a wind tunnel expert but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.
I think what the manufacturers are trying to do is keep as much wind travelling over and around the sides of the truck at highway speeds as possible. Raising the front 2 inches doesn't change the shape of the truck but it lets more air travel under it, and that increases drag, and that hurts fuel economy. You would probably only notice the difference in a wind tunnel. However every 0.1 of an mpg helps when you sell 3/4 of a million trucks... Keeps the CAFE rating down, and that means they can pump out a 500hp low production Raptor and not get penalized by the government lol
