Default platinum TPMS

2015 platinum. (on my 2013)
I think my truck is unique with the color and rims.
Anyone know how to get my 2013 to recognize the 2015 rims?

I borrowed a "tool" from a buddy to "learn" the tpms. He teaches auto mechanics and we could not get the truck to recognize the new tpms sensors. My truck does occasionally give a fault that it is not recognizing the tires pressure sensors. I plan on taking it to the ford dealership unless someone has any ideas

The 2015 sensors use a different frequency, so it's not going to work.

Thanks for the info. I will call the dealer. I hope $75 includes installation. Technology is great and a PITA.

Won't be $75, that'd be for the 2015 sensors. The sensors you need for the 2013 are gonna be several hundred with installation ..... see if they'll give you anything for the 2015 ones they'll pull out of the wheels.

You don't need to spend several hundred of $$ to get sensors to work for a 2009-2014. I bought ones for my 2012 off ebay brand new and it was around $50-75 range, than it was $40-50 or so to have a tire guy just pop down one bead and feed the new sensor through on each wheel

Yup, that's certainly an option if you don't care about the parts and labour warranty if a sensor goes bad.

I'm pretty sure your not going to get the dealer to do it for $75 either for parts and labor for the 2015 sensors
