I agree that prices are getting too steep ... the trade-in amount on my 2011 was what kept me in budget. A platinum, however, would've been just above the budget.
My next truck may have to be either used, or less-equipped.

I just took delivery of a 2016 Platinum and as a previous owner of a 2011, 2013 Platinum I was having a tough time as well with the price hike. However, FORD got this truck RIGHT!
The lighting, styling, and, technology cannot even be matched by any manufacturer right now. They watched all the mods we had been doing and put many of them in this truck. I personally found the previous years seats uncomfortable on my drive. This truck however is comfortable and very roomy.
I think what you need to do is figure out what you absolutely don't care about like moonroof, adaptive cruise etc, Sync 3. I personally refused to buy another vehicle without adaptive cruise having it on a grand cherokee, and Sonata. Sync 3 was a factor for me because regardless of rebates on a 2015 there is no migration from MFT to Sync 3.
I have owned too many cars over the past 5 years, and I will say this truck is by far the best vehicle I have owned and has given the highest degree of contentment.
Hope this helps!

Tried to get a dealer today to match a price I had gotten of 9500 and the same ole story. There's no way they can do that!! That's gals advertisement . There's a catch... There giving u xlt rebates or it's a dealer demo. This is all on a 15 model. Aggravates me that I'm gonna have to drive a few hrs to get 9500 off a 62000 vehicle. It makes no sense that they will take 12 off a cheaper truck then they ll take off a higher end vehicle
