Keep in mind that to get A plan, you or your spouse has to be the Ford employee. Otherwise, you get the other plan. Just went through this on my truck purchase.
Also, if you are using something other than A plan, be careful. You may be able to negotiate a better deal.

Actually, when I bought my truck there was only about $100 difference between the A Plan and the D Plan.

D-plan is almost 8% as well. Its A plan plus 100.

I was able to find a dealership that was willing to sell me a truck at the A-Plan price. They did, however, toss in a $699 doc fee, which I negated with a $750 Ford coupon. A-Plan does not allow the use of such coupons, so I was OK with the ridiculous doc fee...

Dealerships are allowed to sell them for less, they just don't make any money. LOL Ford gives them the difference between invoice and a-plan for a-plan sales.

None of the plans are "off MSRP". They are all calculated off INVOICE.

X-Plan: Invoice - 0.4% + $275 program fee
A/Z-Plans: Invoice - Holdback - Advertising Fee + $275 program fee
D-Plan: A-Plan plus $100

A-Plan has a max doc fee of $75.
X-Plan has a max doc fee of $100.

No dealer may give you anything else if you use these plans unless they give it to every customer.

The easy way to find close to the price.

Find your Truck on Ford.com.

Pull it and right click on the price.

Choose the option inspect element.

On the right side look for AZPlanPrice

My reply was just a rough estimate to base a decision to even look at a vehicle optioned however.

It's amazing that no matter how many times you (or I) post this, we still see at least a post a week at people guessing at this sh*t.

In addition, hold back = 3% (MSRP - delivery), so that is also a known amount.

In addition, since Invoice, a/z plan price, and x plan price is easily obtainable from Ford's own web site, the advertising fee can also be easily calculated.

To all, given the VIN and Ford's web site, you can easily know MSRP, X-PLAN, A/Z-PLAN, D-PLAN, hold back, Invoice and advertisting fee. It is literally grade school math.

Sigh.
