Default Performance oriented alingment?

Hello guys!

I am a happy owner of a 2017 F150 platinum 4WD and just installed some bilsteins 5100 at stock height which are great by the way...

I plan to do an alignment and would like to know if there are any tips to align the suspension so that the truck handles better, sacrificing a bit of tire wear is a not an issue... so any ideas?

thanks!

Well I doubt you'll be autocrossing the truck or racing around talladega, so just stick with the factory specs

Defenetely not... but something that would make the truck more stable or fun to drive would be great!

The only thing you could play with is the caster, but I don't think it's adjustable that much... The toe has to be 0 degrees and the camber has to be within specs IMO. Unless you are going to Talladega and you need major camber on one side haha.

Plus, if you are off specs, chances are that your tires will wear poorly. You need to purchase upgraded suspension parts if you want this.

No matter what you do, make sure to ask the alignment shop to provide you with the alignment sheet. The specs are ''within a range'', but they need to aim for perfection.

Well if you want better handling there are a lot of suspension upgrades you can do, but it takes a lot of money. For a basic bilstein 5100 swap you'll have a better ride and will handle better but nothing you can do on the alignment. Anything outside of factory spec will prob make it handle worse.

Factory specs.
If the tires are perfectly parallel, it'll wander around the road. You need a slight toe in for the vehicle to track straight down the road.

Set the total toe between 20*and 30* and set the caster between 5*to 5.5* positive and that's about how stable as your gonna get.
