Default PCM Question

Good morning all.

My 2018 STX 2.7 4x4 SuperCrew has been in the shop for 9 weeks due to a faulty PCM. It's in the process of being replaced, but they tell me it is difficult to program since I have after-market-size tires. I went from 275/55/20 to 285/65/20. Is this true or are they just stringing me along?

Thank you all.

After 9 weeks, I'd probably tell them to flash the as-builts so you can take truck home then change the tire size yourself with Forscan.

Default Current update

According to the service advisor, 2015 and newer F150s need to be in a stock manner to carry out PCM reprogram. I am not buying this. What can be done in this situation. It's been 10 weeks now. Thank you all.

I'd probably call Ford corporate. Something else to this story, many many truck owners put slightly larger tires on their trucks. After 10 weeks, I'd be on the local news! Good luck, frustrating I am sure. Minimum, go to the Dealer and talk to the Service manager, advisor might be a very bad flake.

They are feeding you a line of 💩. As stated, they can just flash the as-built data and send you on your way.
