Default Part name and Schematic location Help

There are two thick felt like panels on the back of the cab between the the cab and the bed of these trucks. (I assume it is to reduce the vibration in this area) One of mine is falling down. The dealer states there is no fix for it at this time.

I want to use the correct part number and name while referencing this problem. Does anyone know the OEM name for the part and where to find it in the schematics?

My dealer said its a regional problem to AZ (heat) and Ford hasn't addressed the adhesive failure yet.

has anyone else seen this failure?

I can't find the part number, but I believe it mounts to the Rear Cab Panel.

Any updates on this?

I have a 2019 F150 that was built in June 2019. I am having the same problem with the one behind the drivers side. I live in Illinois so I don’t think heat is the problem.

In another forum, I was told that these parts are to minimize air flow between the cab and bed. I was also told that they were used to protect the rear of the cab during the bed installation. Don't know what is true but plausible. And they do not show up on any Ford parts diagrams I have seen.

Can anyone help in what these are used for?

After speaking with the Ford parts manager, he was able to identify the part as a Sound Insulator, part number FL3Z-1540381. I am now seeing if the Service department will replace it under warranty. He found the part under the Other Body Hardware tab on his parts software.

Service Advisor called me and said that Ford will replace the isolators under warranty. Will be done in the body shop as the bed has to be moved or removed.
