Default Paper disappeared :/

Hey guys ... we'll this is embarrassing. I had a important piece of paper that I placed above the center console sliding door that's right below all the climate controls (the one that has the USB ports and stuff in its compartment. Well when I came to a light and stopped the piece of paper slid all the way back and now it's gone. Does anyone know how I can get to this area to get he paper back? Thanks for the help.

I'm not 100% sure but, if it's where I think it is yeah you pretty much have to take either side trim off.

I have seen post about this before, not sure if search will help or not. But you do have to start removing some trim.

Probably a one-in-a-million shot, but try and use a strong shop vac or something and see if maybe you can suck the edge of the paper out and grab it. Likely the paper slid back to far, but it's worth a shot before you start ripping things apart.

If you disconnect the track/guide from the glove box, open it all the way down you should be able to get your hand at the back of that tray where your piece of paper is.
Try that first only takes a minute

Hey guys ... we'll this is embarrassing.
Sorry, beat you to it a couple of years ago, LOL. If your stuff disappeared where mine did, read the whole thread to find out how to get at it. The simple stuff does not work, as many have found out.

From 2016. https://www.f150forum.com/f118/now-embarassing-344105/

Post 20 shows how I did it.

Same thing happened to me.. My tag decal.. pretty pricey.. I was able to recover by opening the glove box all the way, I mean popping the bracket so that the door hung down towards the floor. From inside the glove box hole, I was able to work my hand back into the dash area ahead of the console sliding door. Finally got my fingers on the paper and pulled.. Happy day
Hope this helps..
