Will advise how it goes. Need to take care of before any summer rain.

I'm a bit scared of my stupid moonroof. Just bought the truck last week. Should I try to tilt and open the moonroof to make sure everything is okay? And while open, maybe pour water at all 4 corners to make sure water drains under the car? Climbed to the roof, and my pano is not perfectly aligned, but close. Just a hair above the rear panel on one side. The other side (driver's) is perfectly even. I'm talking about like 1mm on the other side. I'm sure it's well within crappy Ford tolerances. Ha ha. Was thinking to never open the damn thing, since I didn't really want a freaking moonroof again, let alone a pano. All I might do is open the sunshade. Hope that stupid thing doesn't crap out too. Comments welcome.

Well, yours could break just as mine just did; that's one issue with even trying to do preventative maintenance and lube all the seals up so that one corner doesn't stick and break the plastic pano "arms."
I've been a bit skeered to slide my sunshade too, so I keep it closed all the time.

I've been lucky with mine. I slide it back. Never have vented it. My new truck will also have one. It does open differently. It raises and then slides back above the rear half. Ram

Well, guess I'll do the same. Ha ha. And yes, if you open it, it tilts first then slides back, so basically the same movement. And FOR SURE, I'd never open it on a trip. Ha ha. Thanks brother.

I just opened the sun roof and lubed the gasket on the raised part of the window. Then lowered it and opened the pano roof all the way and lubed the rest that I could get too on the glass. I can hear the difference when it's opening and closing. Sounds much more effortless since I lubed it all up. Krytox is what was recommended to me on here, and that's what I ordered. I didn't lube any other moving parts, just the gasket. mine is a '17 with 14K miles. But I would say it gets opened in some capacity 6.7 days per week since I've bought it. I'll continue to use it whenever I want too. I bought it because I wanted it. I guess if it came with a truck and I didn't want it, I'd never use it.

Just recv'd the lift arm set from The Sunroof Doctor, along with instructions(and Rick at TSD said to call him with any questions). Will try to get replaced ASAP and report back. Fingers crossed!

Okay guys I have read a good bit of this but not sure what to do with mine. I have a early Jan 2015 truck with the pano moon roof and have had all Kinds of problems with the roof rattling first, ford fixed that by adjusting, then it was not opening rite, they lubed it up, after a couple weeks still not working right, they lubed it another way they said, still the thing is not working right. Also I'm getting a musky smell from up there. I have removed the wind screen entirely because it stunk so bad. Something is still smelling. I cannot find it. There is no leaks to my knowledge and the drains are for sure working. Also when I tilt the roof it doesn't seem to go all the way up like it should, please help
