Default paint missing on bottom of door/body on new Platinum

So I barely had my new Platinum when I took it to the aftermarket shop for a lift. The aftermarket guy was looking at my truck on the rack and noticed that there was no paint on the bottom of the doors or on the body underneath the door seals. I'm trying to decide whether to have it fixed.

I did look at other F150s on the dealer's lots. Some of them had similar but not nearly as bad missing paint. It was a little hard to inspect the vehicles on the lot especially when I was able to take the pics of my truck while it was still on the rack.

Notice there is no paint on the bottom of other pieces as well.

Explains why ford shut down their paint shop for retooling. As they had admitted poor quality.

That's pretty bad...I don't see how they miss this entire area with the state of robotics today. Now I have to decide whether to have the dealer cover it under warranty. I assume that means pulling all the seals and the doors off. I just fear it will not go back together again properly.

Wonder how many other people have this and haven't noticed? I mean I didn't see it neither did the dealer until I had it up on the rack at eye level.

I'm assuming since this is a Platinum, it was a Dearborn build?

Hugely common across all manufacturers. That is one of the worst I've seen though. It was very common on the previous generation with tux black, and green gem. Probably on other colors as well, but I saw it mostly on those

There was a post last year about this from a dealer service manager or something. He was saying Ford wouldn't cover that under warranty. Sorry can't search for the thread as I'm on my phone right now

not saying it doesn't happen but....
Not being painted...... Not like it's a dent that wasn't noticed till after delivery. Not painted is not painted.

They would be painting my truck.

Wow. They don't warranty the color mis match anymore. Basically, we messed this up...but don't care. Go pound sand
