Looks like I’ll be replacing my intake manifold. 🤦‍♂️

I was just thinking about this a few days ago when I thought I haven't heard of any of these manifolds failing for some time. I stand corrected. Good luck with the repair.

It looks like the actuator shaft broke where it connects to the position sensor. Biggest pain from what I've seen/read is getting the connectors unplugged at the back of the manifold since you are doing it blind while laying on top of the engine bay trying to reach them...lol

In case anyone runs across this tread through a search, this was my issue. The intake runner rod was broken where it exits on the manifold on the passenger side. The actuator was moving but the position sensor was not. Unfortunately it requires replacing the entire intake manifold. Ford OEM was over $900 for just the manifold which requires re-use of the actuators and sensors. I got one off amazon which included the actuators and position sensors for $250. Took about 2 hours. Most time consuming part is removing the connectors and vacuum line from the back of the manifold as you have to do it blind since the manifold won't come out far enough or pivot enough to actually see what you are disconnecting.

I think your intake is missing its pulley and tune. Your wife will not be happy if you put in the wrong parts and have to redo work again later.
